Florida state law states:

Definition of Dealing in Stolen Property The crime of Dealing in Stolen Property, sometimes referred to as Fencing, involves the buying and selling of property that you know, or should know, was stolen. Purchasing Stolen Property Simply purchasing property you knew, or should have known, was stolen does not constitute Dealing in Stolen Property if there is no evidence that you intended to resell the property. However, you can still be convicted of either Grand Theft or Petit Theft if it is proven you knew, or should have known, the purchased property was stolen. Defenses to Dealing in Stolen Property In addition to the pretrial and trial defenses that can be raised in any criminal case, a specific defense to the crime of Dealing in Stolen Property is: Satisfactory Explanation In general, a person cannot be convicted of Dealing in Stolen Property if the person can satisfactorily explain how they came to be in possession of the stolen property without knowing that it was stolen. in a nut shell if the deal was too good to be true then i would assume that it crossed your mind it was Hot (stolen)

NOTHING NEW !

BAG AND TAG ONLY WHO THEY WANT ??? MAYBE WE DONT KNOW ALL THE FACTS . I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD TELL US ALL THE FACTS BUT THEN AGAIN THIS IS NOTHING NEW. GO FIGURE. AT LEAST IT S GOING TO A GRAND JURY. THERE IS HOPE STILL.

And all who bought the stolen goods should be investigated as

well. Only a total fool would think that there is such a thing as a $450 iPad or $125 iPhones brand new. They knew what they were doing and they are complicit.

And Monroe County, can we reject Druckemiller's retirement, and put her on unpaid leave until this is settled? She should receive zero in compensation for sitting there, doing nothing, after robbing taxpayers. And I'm sure that trying to get anything back from her is going to be impossible. It's another 'Monique' situation.

Is this lady still getting a

Is this lady still getting a pension and health benefits with our tax dollars after she stole from us?

WHY R U COVERING 4 COMMISSIONER RICE ???

Once again, the article failed to mention or explain the initial admittance by Commissioner Rice that he also bought equipment from Lisa. He is just as involved as Gatesi, Kokenzie and all the rest. He should not be given protection because he is a Commissioner. In fact, if he bought a 'discounted' iPad for his wife's Christmas present like he said he did, then he could be removed from office for abuse of public power.

They'll probably nail Kokenzie and Lisa only

Rice,Gastesi, will slip away. Rice is quite farmilar with ripping off the county with his clinic and knows all the slime in inter circles of the Keys scum.

Why have we not heard all the facts of this case by now?

Usually Ward tries his cases in the press, but this time he hasn't. Is that because there is no case - again? That would explain why Ward wants to use a Grand Jury. Let them fail to indict her and he can blame them for goofing up the case.

Your foolish statement left out one important fact!

Dennis's conviction rate has been very high. Something your girl friend Cathy with her two hundred years of experience can never catch up too. She just keeps losing trials to Ward INC!

Dennis puts tourist in jail for having one short Lobster

yet he does nothing to a county administrator who buys over $5000.00 worth of hot merchandise....Gastesi needs to go!!!!!!!!!!! Dennis do your job.

Sal are you still hiding from the IRS in the Bahamas?

Good!

No the IRS and me

are fine....Thanks for your concern. Tell your mother I said Hi.....

And dont forget

Gastesi should be fired, he bought these items, and come on he didnt know something wasnt right...Yea OK. This smells big time. He couldnt pass up a deal....he turned a blind eye to items falling off the truck so to speak. He has got to go!
