An energized minority -- regressive thinking is the last thing we need

Grotesque comments from the cruel and unlettered are now commonplace on the Net. Personally, I try to avoid reading them.

However, horrors coming from the mouths of those of national standing are less easily sidestepped. In fact, this has been a particularly startling few years, with regressive thinking on the rise.
