Higgs Beach will win some, lose some
Removing some features to make way for new ones

Workers have begun to lay the foundation of a 10-year master plan for Higgs Beach Park.

Crews have removed one of the pavilions and cleared the area for a new fenced playground on the beach side. Plans call for some of the pavilions to be placed inside the fenced playground, which would give parents a shaded area to sit while watching their children.

What liberal wienie, pocket protector-wearing metrosexual came up with this idiotic idea? Replace a highly-used tennis court with a tony new "sport" no one ever heard of??

These do-gooders with way too much time on their hands move our street and our playground, placing the kids right in the middle of the bums. Who's going to bring their kids there? To those bathrooms? I'll tell you... no thinking parent.

The fence is the only good thing. But fence the whole beach and charge $5 per person per day. Only way to get rid of the bums.

And hey, you guys, find something more productive to do with your time than play pickleball! Both of you!
