Croc run-ins rising
Dog-snatching curbs residents' canal-side fun

"Never smile at a crocodile."

That "Peter Pan" song, which accompanies Capt. Hook's death by alligator, has taken on more meaning for families whose homes border a canal where a dog was killed by a croc last month.

With the resurgence of the normally shy North American crocodile from the brink of extinction 37 years ago, the number of nuisance complaints...

nobody is forcing people to

nobody is forcing people to live in an area where there are crocodiles... it's a choice, just like people who live in bear country like Montana or mountain lion country like California. either learn to live with them or move somewhere else. crocs have been here since long before man and will be here long after man has vanished off the face of the earth.

What a Croc

Apparently, the state is waiting for someone to be eaten by Crocodile before they will act.

Hey!

Crocodiles are prehistoric creatures. Man is the newcomer, and not a very good steward of our environment (I cite developers, realtors and cruise ships).

If the crocs gobble a few people stupid enough to encroach on their territory, let them do it and decrease the surplus "human" population.
