Booker to leave schools

An 11-year Monroe County School District veteran who has battled an insubordination finding over the financing of a 2011 graduation party has agreed to leave quietly next month.

This is a shame

Sunny is a dedicated educator. I worked with her and I know how hard she works to give her students everything. There is a lot of misconceptions about what ACE is / was. But I assure you that the kids I worked with there were safe and in school because of her. Many of those kids would have been completely lost without Sunny and the ACE program. I left the Keys because of "bubba" stuff. I think the Keys residents should really start looking at decisions that are made because of bubba-ness that make your island lose kind-hearted & dedicated people.

There must be a whole lot more to Sunny being thrown out of the district than this dinner party for graduates. True her salary, like most administrators, is 40% higher than should be and most likely her job could be done by someone else. But what else is being hidden

This has to be a terrible mistake. How can you take Sunny out of this county? When she leaves the district will realize how much she really did. She was just named Women Volunteer of the Year. BTW - This Arnott guy must be amazing beast as he covers all the people who leave.

Cleaned up what at HOB? The inconsistency of discipline. The bubbaism with referrals and hiring. What about the drugs? I am not sure what was cleaned up but it must have been a real mess before.
