I encourage every citizen to contact the members of this committee. Dr. Jara is NOT the right person for this job. He made a 500K blunder with the teachers union, so now he wants to “get back” at them for making him look like a buffoon. No need for them to make him look like anything, as he does well enough on his own. Now, is not the time to continue with this adversarial defunct leader. We need someone who has experience and wants to work for this county’s betterment. How laughable, if this man is selected with all the problems the district still has? The one good thing about the selection process is the election is after the selection. Andy, I have voted for you many times in the past but now I will see how you vote for me.

BOARD: Andy Out-ineffective and a career politician. Howard Hubbard and Yvette Mira-Talbott are running against him. Don't know anything about Hubbard-possibility there and awaiting info. Mira-Talbott would at least listen to her constituents. 20 years with Andy is enough. Put John Welsh in. He will operate in the best interest of students and teachers with a wealth of knowledge. Recall John Dick. Had much hope for him but he is little more than a loud mouth-no real leadership or vision. Martin & Smith-Martin both need more time to show their true colors. District Admin:Axford - Gentile - Kineer - Jara All at the top must go-they are all ineffective or incompetent. Over $600,000 of tax payer money for what? Ticked off teachers, students, parents, and community members? No definitive budget? Surprise, $6,000,000 shortfall! I have seen their pacing in action, none of them have the work ethic or tenacity that warrants a six figure income. Let her retire and send the rest packing.

Jara should not make the short list. We need to start with a clean slate-He is the political result of the Acevedo fallout. A political appointee of a political appointee. Gov. appoints Burke, Burke hires Jara, Gov. appoints Jara. He was barely qualified with no experience as a district level administrator before Burke took him under his wing. We would not even look at his resume, much less considered it, if he had not been appointed. Contact everyone on the selection committee and tell them to throw Jara's resume out first, let's send him packing so we can begin to fix this thing. that should be in the contract. 1. You move your family to the Monroe County. 2. If you have school age children they must attend a Monroe County public school.
