Southwest to keep Key West routes
Local service survives airline's merger with AirTran Airways

Southwest Airlines will continue to serve Key West International Airport as AirTran Airways.

The service had been in been in question for nearly two years, as Southwest and AirTran have been undergoing a merger. Many AirTran routes have been canceled in the past year.

Southwest officials announced this week the Key West route would remain in place....

David, I wish I was. I worked for every nickel I have. No rich relatives, no lottery, etc. Perhaps if you get off your arse and try and make something work you too will fly on a discount airline......

Southwest is tops

Without a doubt southwest is the best. They leave promptly, arrive early, and a pleasure to fly with. Hopefully they don't let air tran screw this up. AirTran is one of the worst in every way. Other airlines could learn from southwest. Now if only southwest would take over the TSA duties it might become enjoyable to fly again..............
