PAULA BLOODWORTH

MARCH 5, 1923-jUNE 21, 2012

Our mother, Paula Bloodworth, went to heaven to be with the Lord and other loved ones lost. Waiting for her in heaven will be her beloved late husband Willie Bloodworth, and her first beautiful granddaughter Pyka Hanson, along with all but one of her siblings. She went peacefully in her sleep at home, surrounded by her family.

Paula was a very proud mother of nine. She devoted her life to keeping her family together and always had an open door and open arms for anyone in need. She was well known for her hospitality and great cooking. She loved to dance at Memory Lane, where she was known and loved by many who called her "mamacita." She will be loved and missed by all that knew her.

She leaves behind her children James Garcia, Millie Simpson, Edith Hanson, Myrna Vargas, Jeanette Secory, Loraine Feldborg, Jack Bowman, Steven Bowman, and Raymond Bloodworth. She also leaves behind her wonderful grandchildren JP Garcia, Jason Garcia, Anthony Velasco, Paul Velasco, Nick Velasco, Donald Hanson, John Leon, Michael Leon, Benjamin Gambrell, Mark Secory, Richard Feldborg, Charissa Feldborg, Leah Latorre Tuell. Paula also leaves behind many great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to all of our close family and friends for all of the love and support and all of the wonderful prayers coming out to our mother and us. Services for our beloved mother will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Truman Avenue. All are welcome and come as you are.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date so that the family may unite in privacy after the service.

We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Whiteside, Dr. Covington, Dr. Makimaa, Hospice, and Castillo and Thurston.

At the family's request, donations may be made to St. Mary's Star of the Sea, or Hospice of the Florida Keys.
